  • GIS assisted in launching the Nigeria Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (NEITI) 2006 Financial and Physical Audit tender and Value-for-Money Audit tender.  Further details of the tender are available on www.neitiaudit.com

  • David Goldwyn has been appointed to the Revenue Watch Institute Advisory Board. 

  • GIS provided Nigeria’s EITI stakeholder group with expert advice on a Whistleblower law, Mining Law and Mining Regulations.

  • David Goldwyn was at a discussant on the panel on "EITI - What is it, and how does it work?" at the Third Plenary Conference of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative held in Oslo 16-17 October 2006. 

  • David Goldwyn presented on the 'Relevance of the Resource Curse for US Energy Security' at the Nicholas Institute Round Table at the Woodrow Wilson Institute in Washington, DC on September 22nd, 2006. 

  • On June 20, 2006 David Goldwyn spoke at briefing entitled "Reversing the Resource Curse: The need for Transparency in the Oil, Gas and Mining Sectors."  The event was in cooperation with the offices of Congresswoman Diane Watson and Congressman Ed Royce. 

  • On May 18th, 2006 Goldwyn testified before the House International Relations Committee Subcommittee on Africa, Global Human Rights and International Operations on “Nigeria’s Struggle with Corruption: The Success of Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative.” 

  • Goldwyn International Strategies serves as the lead advisor to the Nigerian Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (NEITI) and the National Stakeholders Working Group (NSWG) which released the results of three historic audits of Nigeria's oil and gas sector. press release
